Dog Activities
The Northern Inuit Dog is a breed who's physically attributes have not been overly exaggerated, this means that they are capable of participating in a wide range of activities that both dog and owner can enjoy.
Care is needed to moderate the amount of exercise that young dogs receive as joints and bones that are still growing can be damaged by excessive activity, having your dogs hips scored by the BVA can help you decide how physically demanding any activity can be.

We had our bitch Jess hip scored at 18 months old, this confirmed that her hips were good and gave me the confidence to take her out road running, an activity that she now regularly enjoys.
In July 2008 we purchased a Ruff Wear dog back pack with the intention of taking Jess on some much longer walks and occasional wild camping trips.
Jess seems to have taken to this like a duck to water, our first over night trip is planned for sometime in the next few weeks.
